[Press Statement by the Teoh Beng Hock Association for Democratic Advancement (TBH-ADA), issued in Kuala Lumpur on 28 June 2026]
MUDA and Parti Bersama Become the First to Endorse the Justice for Teoh Beng Hock Pledge
Today, the Teoh Beng Hock Association for Democratic Advancement (TBH-ADA) announced the first batch of Johor state election candidates who have endorsed the Justice for Teoh Beng Hock Pledge.
Rashifa Aljunied, the MUDA candidate for the Puteri Wangsa state constituency, and Lau Yi Leong, the Parti Bersama candidate for the Johor Jaya state constituency, are the first batch candidates to sign the pledge supporting the three key demands for justice for Teoh Beng Hock.
We commend Rashifa Aljunied and Lau Yi Leong for demonstrating the political courage to stand up for justice, and we urge voters to support these two candidates who have shown their commitment to justice and accountability.
We also call upon all other candidates contesting in the Puteri Wangsa and Johor Jaya state constituencies to publicly declare whether they support the following three demands for justice for Teoh Beng Hock:
- Invite international criminal investigation experts to reinvestigate the Teoh Beng Hock case as a criminal homicide under Section 302 (murder) or Section 304 (culpable homicide) of the Penal Code.
- Uphold the Rule of Law, as enshrined in the Rukun Negara, by taking legal action against all individuals who broke the law in relation to the Teoh Beng Hock case.
- Implement institutional reforms without delay, including comprehensive reform of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to ensure respect for human rights and its demilitarisation, as well as enact an Anti-Torture Act to eradicate torture and deaths in custody.

On 22 June, TBH-ADA emailed the pledge form to all major political parties, namely PKR, DAP, Amanah, UMNO, MCA, MIC, Parti Hati, MUDA, and the Parti Socialis Malaysia (PSM).
We will hold a Candidate Appreciation Ceremony on Saturday, 4 July, at 2:00 p.m. in Johor Bahru. The venue will be announced later. Members of the media are invited to take note.

统民党与同心党率先签署还明福公道诉求
赵明福民主促进会文告，2026年6月28日于吉隆坡发出。
今日，赵明福民主促进会宣布第一轮签署还赵明福诉求的柔佛州选举候选人。
优景镇(Puteri Wangsa)州选区统民党(MUDA)候选人拉丝法（Rashifa Aljunied），以及柔佛再也(Johor Jaya)州选区同心党候选人刘毅龙（Lau Yi Leong）率先签署还赵明福公道三大诉求。
我们赞扬拉丝法和刘毅龙展现追求公义的政治勇气，呼吁选民在投票时支持这两位有正义感的候选人。
我们也呼吁优景镇州和柔佛再也选区的其他候选人公开表态，他们是否支持还赵明福公道的三大诉求如下：
（一）邀请国际刑事调查专家，以刑事法典的谋杀（302）或他杀（304）条文重查赵明福案件；
（二）落实国家原则中的维护法纪条文，依法对付在赵明福案件中违法的人士；
（三）尽速实行体制改革，全面改革反贪会使之尊重人权和去武器化，制订《反酷刑法》以杜绝酷刑和扣留所死亡案件。
