Urging Home Minister Saifuddin Nasution to Publicly Release the Investigation Report on Teoh Beng Hock’s Case
[Press Statement by the Teoh Beng Hock Association for Democratic Advancement, issued in Kuala Lumpur on 13 September 2025]
In response to Home Minister Saifuddin Nasution’s reply to DAP Senator Tiey Way Keng, stating that police have summoned several MACC officers on duty at the time of Teoh Beng Hock’s death to give statements and have completed the investigation as directed by the court, the Teoh Beng Hock Association for Democratic Advancement criticizes Saifuddin for merely parroting the unconvincing claim of a “police investigation”
In our statement dated August 15, we had already demanded that Saifuddin provide a transparent explanation regarding the details of the police’s taking of statements from MACC officers — and to clarify whether the purpose of these statements was to investigate murder, homicide, or unlawful confinement. However, Saifuddin has turned a deaf ear, completely ignoring the demands of our association and Teoh Beng Hock’s family. Is playing deaf and dumb the true nature of the “Madani Government”?
We call on Saifuddin to immediately release the investigation paper on Teoh Beng Hock’s case, as well as to disclose the reasons behind the Attorney General’s Chambers rejecting the police investigation report eight times. Teoh Beng Hock’s family has the right to know whether the police conducted the investigation responsibly and fairly, and on what basis they concluded “insufficient evidence” and “no further action”.
We once again urge the government to accept the request of Teoh Beng Hock’s family to engage international criminal investigation experts to conduct a professional and impartial investigation.

促内政部长赛夫丁公开赵明福案调查报告
[赵明福民主促进会文告，2025年9月13日于吉隆坡发出]
针对内政部长赛夫丁回答行动党上议员张菲倩，指警方已经传召数名当值的反贪会官员录供，按照法庭指示完成调查，赵明福民主促进会批评赛夫丁鹦鹉学舌，不断重复无法令人信服的“警方调查”。
本会8月15日的文告已要求赛夫丁透明交代警方向反贪会录取口供的详情，公开解释录取口供目的是调查谋杀、他杀还是非法囚禁。可是赛夫丁置若罔闻，完全无视本会和赵明福家属的诉求，难道装聋作哑是昌明政府的本质？
我们呼吁赛夫丁即刻公布赵明福案件的调查报告，以及总检察署八次拒绝警方调查报告的理由。赵明福家属有权知道警方的调查是否尽责公正，以及警方基于什么理由达致“证据不足”和“无需进一步行动”的结论。
我们再次呼吁政府，接受赵明福家属要求国际刑事调查专家进行专业和公正的调查。
