Responding to PM Political Secretary Chan : What about the examination of Anwar Ibrahim’s Slip Disc by a German Specialist?
In a “Keywords” interview, the political secretary to the Prime Minister Chan Ming Kai defended the no further action decision by the police and said the police professionalism should not be questioned. He further said that an international criminal investigation expert is not required unless the Royal Malaysian Police does not have such technology.
I would like to pose the question to Chan : how about the examination of Anwar Ibrahim’s slip disc by a German Specialist over twenty years ago?
After Anwar Ibrahim was sacked as the Deputy Prime Minister, sentenced for 15-year imprisonment by the Mahathir administration, he was admitted to hospital for “acute back pain due to a slipped disc.”
On 11 March 2001, a German-based foreign specialist Dr. Thomas Hoogland was allowed to examine Anwar Ibrahim’s sickness in Kuala Lumpur Hospital. The then Minister of Health Chua Jui Meng had repeatedly claimed that the Malaysian medical system had the expertise to conduct examinations and surgeries. But the “Mahazalim” Mahathir administration still allowed the examination by a foreign expert.
So, the Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim should tell us whether this is a double standard? You deserve justice for your “black eye” under the custody of the police. You deserve a medical examination by a foreign medical expert. But Teoh Beng Hock, a lower-rank political officer, does not deserve justice nor the case deserves an examination by an international criminal investigation expert.
Furthermore, during the coroner inquest, the Selangor state government was able to invite Thai pathologist Dr. Pornthip to participate in the second autopsy. Why was PKR Chief Minister Khalid Ibrahim able to invite an international expert, but PKR Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim was unable to do it?
In addition, on 15th April, the police said it is lacking resources because Teoh’s case is already 15 years old. Isn’t this a clear signal that the police need a helping hand? If the government has nothing to hide, why is the government scared to invite an international criminal investigation expert to probe this case?

回应首相政治秘书曾敏凯：拒绝国际刑事调查专家查明福案 安华邀请德国专家检查又如何解释
在7月21日的“关键词”采访中，首相政治秘书曾敏凯为警方“无需行动”(NFA)的决定辩护，并表示不应质疑警方的专业性。他还进一步说明，除非马来西亚皇家警察没有相关技术，否则不需要国际刑事调查专家的介入。
对此，我要向曾敏凯提出一个问题：那二十多年前安华的椎间盘滑脱(slip disc)，政府允许德国专家来马检查，又该如何解释？
安华被前首相马哈迪政府撤除副首相职务、并被判入狱15年之后，他因“椎间盘滑脱引发的急性背痛”而住进了医院。
2001年3月11日，一位来自德国的外国专家——托马斯·胡格兰（Dr. Thomas Hoogland）博士被允许在吉隆坡医院对安华的病情进行检查。
当时的卫生部长蔡锐明曾多次声称，马来西亚的医疗体系具备足够的专业能力进行检查和进行手术。但是被烈火莫熄支持者抨击为“残暴至极”(Mahazalim)的马哈迪政府仍然允许外国专家来马进行诊断。
那么，现任首相安华应该告诉我们：这是不是双重标准？你在警方羁押期间被打成“黑眼圈”，你有资格获得正义，也有资格接受外国专家的诊断。但赵明福，作为一名低级别职务的政治秘书，却不配获得正义？他的案件就不值得国际刑事调查专家的介入？
况且，死因调查庭(inquest)期间，雪州政府都能够邀请泰国法医普缇来马参与第二次验尸，为何公正党籍的雪州大臣卡立能够邀请国际专家，公正党籍的联邦首相安华却做不到？
警方已于4月15日表明，赵明福案件已经过了15年，他们缺少资源，这不是警方需要援助的清楚信号吗？如果政府没有打算掩盖真相，何必害怕国际刑事调查专家来马参与调查？
