Our History
We are a group of social activists from all walks of life. We heard the appeal for support by Teoh Lee Lan, Beng Hock’s sister, on the first anniversary of Beng Hock’s death. She pleaded that the Teoh family needed the backing of the public for their continued pursuit of the truth and justice for Beng Hock. We held a discussion and decided that the civil society must be mobilized behind the Teoh family. The eight organizations that endorse this movement are the Civil Rights Committee of Kuala Lumpur and Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall (CRC-KLSCAH), Saya Anak Bangsa Malaysia (SABM), Suara Rakyat Malaysia (SUARAM), Amnesty International Malaysia (AIM), Women Section of Kuala Lumpur and Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall, Youth for Change (Y4C), Youth Section of Kuala Lumpur and Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall and Civil Society Committee of LLG.
